Rejoice Aussie macaron lovers – the famous Parisian macarons made by Ladurée are finally available in Australia! The macarons are made in Switzerland are blast frozen and shipped to Australia. Then they sit in the warehouse before getting delivered and sold in Westfield Sydney.
That’s a long trip and despite the fact that you can buy local fresh-made macarons people are gladly lining up to buy Ladurée’s defrosted macarons.
Herald Sun reports: “Customers are lining up for up to 90 minutes to try the wares of French macaron giant Ladurée, which opened in Westfield Sydney on Tuesday.” And they are paying $3.30 for just one of their sweet creations! A bit pricey but they are Ladurée macarons.
Hopefully they are as fresh and delicious as the ones they sell in Paris, which are – mmm – divine.
I guess, it’s time to make a trip to Sydney!
